Honestly, I was thinking about Hemingway's story White Elephants. The whole thing happens in conversation without any description, but a whole story unfolds itself in conversation between two people. I was always intrigued by that. The story it tells is pretty dark, but I thought that was pretty masterful storytelling to be able to tell a complete story exclusively through conversation. So I wanted to try my own hand at it. Not as powerful, or well written, but at least you leave my story maintaining your desire to live.
Well..I really, really liked it. And what is interesting is that I was recently talking to fellow TAs at my school and we were saying how children do not know nursery rhymes anymore. I was trying to teach them some on the playground or at least jump rope chants...later I sadly heard them singing twinkle twinkle little star, while jumping, which has mysteriously hung on.
Andrew I don't think you are allowed to teach children on the playground nursery rhymes.
However, I'm glad someone is.
Someone's got to, right? 🤷 I also noticed you get to a certain age and you don't really care what you say
It wasn't me!!! Creepy old man! 🤣🤣🤣
So this was overheard, I assume? I absolutely love this conversation

I mean, imagine trying to jump rope to twinkle twinkle little star. Just sad.
That makes me want to set myself on fire!
Just overheard in my own mind. Thanks so much!!!
